Magic Crate is a subscription service for 1.5-15 year olds wherein theme-based activity kits are mailed to your doorstep every month. Each month’s crate is based on a fresh new theme (e.g., Water, Wind, Rainforest, Mad Science) and contains all material for 2 Science activities, 1 art activity and a game. The crates are setup to be do-it-yourself activities and come disassembled for the child to assemble & play along with the parent or grandparents. Magic Crate can be subscribed to for a period of 3, 6 or 12 months.
The starting point for us are the common core standards that lay out target skill and knowledge achievement levels of children of various age groups. Based on target learning outcomes, our early childhood experts identify themes that are most interesting to children and work with our award winning team of toy & game designers to design activities around those themes. These are then iteratively tested for ease of use by young children, safety, and ability to meet target learning outcomes and of course, the fun quotient. The completed crates are then shipped to our early family of adopters for their feedback. Changes arising from the feedback are then incorporated, re-tested and only then are they mailed to our customers.
Magic Crate has been designed based on the principle of integrative education: different branches of knowledge and skills have been taken into account in design of activities and allow the child to gain different experiences and skills from various branches of knowledge.
The crates have been designed to be age-appropriate for your child's age. Typically, children in the age group of 2.5-4 years will require some support from parents while the older children would be able to do most of the activities on their own. There might be specific steps in an activity which might require parental intervention, for example - use of scissors. These will be called out in each of the activity booklets.
Research has shown a direct correlation between stimulating activities in the early years and child’s brain development. Also, in this age group, children spend double the time at home as at school. A significant part of the time at home is spent in front of TV or playing with devices. It becomes important that something new, something fresh be provided to the child on an ongoing basis – which is why we offer Magic Crate as a subscription service.For your convenience, we allow subscriptions of multiple lengths (3, 6, 12 months) and cancellation when needed.
Yes, you may! If you would like to move to a lower or higher age segment during a subscription or any-time, let us know via email / chat / phone-call & we will switch your subscription to the right age segment at no additional charge. You will receive the remaining boxes in the new age segment.
Ordering Magic Crate
You will get an email & SMS confirmation of the order to your signed up email address & registered mobile number (RMN). In addition, you will get a payment confirmation message from PayU for the Order Value. PayU is our preferred Payment Gateway.
We work with a third-party vendor called PayU India. PayU is a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certification) verified. PayU collects payments on behalf of us & processes your Credit Card, Debit Card or Netbanking for you.
Absolutely! We allow Cash on delivery on orders. Please select "COD" on the final checkout page.
Rarely, we do have a payment failure when the payment does not get credited immediately. In these cases, please call us at Customer Support or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to resolve the issue.
Typically the funds will be released by the bank/payment vendor to you or to us. If it is released back to you, you will need to re-purchase the crate. If it is released to us, we will process & send out the order confirmation shortly after receipt of confirmation from the bank.
Shipping is absolutely free for you! You will only need to pay the charges mentioned in the final order confirmation page. All taxes are included in the final price mentioned.
We ship using reputed courier companies for major cities & India Post when courier companies do not deliver to your Pin Code.

One-time Subscription Model, Cancellation & Refunds
The first themed crate from the subscription will be shipped immediately on order confirmation. Each month's box will be shipped out on the same calendar day of every month as your original order date, until your subscription expires. Each month will bring a new theme and activities that allow the child to explore different facets of the theme.
Magic Crate provides the option of a refund against cancellation in the unlikely case of you not wanting to complete the subscription. Based on our experience with customers, we would strongly recommend that you try out at least 2 monthly crates, before taking a call on cancellation. This is to ensure that your child understands the concept behind the products, which may not be evident from just a single monthly crate.
At the time of cancellation, you will receive a refund of the remaining undelivered boxes, subject to the condition that at least 2 monthly boxes have been delivered till date. In case you decide to opt for a cancellation before the first 2 months' crates have been delivered, the refund will be for the remaining period of the subscription, after subtracting the cost of the first 2 boxes.
Typically all refunds are processed within 7-10 business days and refunded through the payment method.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to take back return of an opened crate or activity. Please do remember that we allow cancellations of future subscriptions.
Monthly Subscription Model, Cancellation
The monthly plan ensures that our subscription service continues to stay in place for you by automatically renewing your subscription before it expires.
Once enrolled, the billing method used to purchase or renew the subscription will get billed every month until you let us know of any change in the status of your subscription.
Yes. We will send you an email regarding the automatic renewal of your subscription with related details at least 5-7 prior to charging you.
If any changes on your subscription, you need to let us know before the amount is debited from your account. e.g., cancellation of the subscription, change in address, change of age segment, change in card details etc.,
No, the ‘Monthly plan’ subscription is possible only via online payment.
All credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express etc) and some debit cards can be used to enroll in this subscription plan.
